The Heuristics group offers an outline of the Foundations of Patterns (tentative title) manuscript. As the manuscript evolves, this section will migrate from an outline to a summary of key points and downloadable code samples. You can navigate the outline by selecting the various topics under the Patterns heading in the left-hand menu.

To offer feedback, which I really encourage, you can contribute to the Software Development Group, Design Patterns Group, or Software Process Group. The easiest way to do this is to follow these five simple steps:

  • Click the group in the left-hand menu bar (or one of the links above)
  • Select edit page from the top right
  • Type the name of the heuristic (in camel case) that you want to talk about and click Save
  • Click the question mark next to the Heuristic you just entered (this creates a new page for discussion).
  • Enter your comments and click Save.

You can also e-mail me, or sign up for the mailing list.
